The importance of small groups
The natural and basic demonstration of God''s communal image for humanity is the gathering of the small group.
God exists in community - three Persons working in complete harmony with one another. When God created the human being, he created them in His image and likeness. In the process of creation, being alone, Adam could not be fully human. He needed to be connected to another person or persons. The original relational context in and through which humanity could develop and grow was family with God at the centre. Being connected means being human, and being human means being part of a family. As the Psalmist puts it: "God sets the lonely in families". Can you grow as a Christian alone? No! Jesus knew that. Creation and redemption began with a small group. You have been created to be in one. Let us help you find one.
